William Koons

William Koons is a sophomore marketing student in the Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University. He is currently involved with several on-campus organizations including the Tech Marketing Association and Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. His cumulative gpa is 2.97 while being enrolled in 56 hours.

William works part-time as well as being a full time student. He is currently employed at Discovery Depot Childcare working as a Childcare Professional. His duties include maintaining a stable environment for primary school aged children; managing positive relationships with parents; condoning an environment conducive for learning and fun; working with a team of three to manage fifty to sixty children.

Outside of school and work William engages in philanthropic and community service projects through his Alpha Tau Omega. Some of the projects he has worked on are Relay for Life, Walk for a Cure, Gatorfest benefitting the YWCA, ATO World Cup benefitting Kicks for Nick, Kappa Delta Shamrock benefitting Prevent Child Abuse America, and RaiderThon benefitting Children's Miracle Network. These philanthropies have helped individuals in the Lubbock area as well as on a national level.

After William finishes his undergraduate studies at Texas Tech, he aspires to go to law school and attain his J.D. With his J.D., William wants to work in the litigation or corporate law fields.
