My name is William Chizek, a sophomore at the University of Wisconsin – Madison in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. In the J-School I intend to study Strategic Communications with certificates in Digital Studies and Business.

Here at Madison, I’ve grown through excellent academic programs and student organizations.

I am currently working as a Photo Editor for The Daily Cardinal, Madison’s oldest student run daily newspaper. At The Cardinal I learned what it takes to work in the communications industry while building life long friendships. I look forward to every 4pm news meeting and 2am deadline with some of the most talented people on campus. The most fun too.

I currently serve as the Philanthropy Chair and News Editor for my fraternity, Delta Upsilon, as well.

This past summer I had my first professional internship experience at Express Scripts in Minneapolis, a Fortune 20. company in the healthcare industry. I worked on the Account Management team with clients around the world. In my role I touched almost every part of the business from Marketing, Finance, IT and Pharmaceutical research. I am so grateful to have gained insight into the corporate world and valuable work experience. I am confident I now possess strong skills skills for any work space.

Beyond school and work, I fancy myself a renaissance man – always trying something new. Whether traveling, photographing, writing, creating or meeting new people, I strive to leave a part of myself in everything that I do.
