William Miller

My name is William Miller, but please just call me Bill. I live in the Potsdam New York area presently and earned my B.A. in Psychology at SUNY-Potsdam. Prior to earning that degree I attended the University of North Texas with the intention of studying music and the University of Wisconsin where I became interested in folklore. In between those two schools and SUNY-Potsdam I lived in Colonial Williamsburg Virginia where I owned a jewelry making company. Upon having completed the B.A. I have worked as a psychiatric rehabilitation case worker and as a civil rights advocate. I am very excited about this program. I have always felt most comfortable in an academic setting and would love to find work in an academic library preferably helping to build and maintain collections in the social sciences and humanities as those areas are where I feel I am at my strongest. I also enjoy research, including both my own and helping others achieve their research goals.

In addition, I spend quite a bit of time watching soccer and boxing, as well as anything suspenseful in terms of film. I have a cat named "The Very Small Cat", who does indeed answer to that, despite it being a tad bizarre as far as cat names go. My musical taste ranges from classical to jazz with stops along the way that include alternative and post-punk.
