William Bratley
William Bratley completed his first degree at Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi, where he finished with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. Bratley was subsequently accepted into Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, where he received Master’s degrees in both Christian Education and Marriage and Family Therapy.
While attending Mississippi College, Bratley served as Director of Youth Ministries at Alta Woods Presbyterian Church. After he completed his divinity education at Reformed Theological Seminary, he became Associate Pastor at the church. He remained at Alta Woods Presbyterian Church for several years, only briefly leaving to serve at a church in Florida before ultimately returning to Mississippi. In 1993, 16 years after he began working at Alta Woods, he relocated to Georgia to assist in developing the Ingleside Presbyterian Church. At Ingleside, William Bratley provided pastoral duties and gave sermons as Senior Pastor. He additionally visited South and Central America several times, speaking to pastors and laymen at Christian conferences.
Apart from pastoral duties, Bratley has worked as a music teacher and as a counselor for children, individuals, and couples. William Bratley has visited numerous nursing homes and hospitals as part of his pastoral duties. He is well practiced at providing end-of-life counseling, which he feels is one of his specialties.
William Bratley and his wife have three sons and three grandchildren. Bratley is highly proficient in keyboard and enjoys a wide range of music. He also is physically active, having participated in 10K competitions and half marathons over the years.
