William Dekker

I am an all-round communicator with considerable experience in designing and implementing PR and communication strategies for intergovernmental organizations, government ministries, state departments and agencies, multinationals, not-for-profits, and for-profits.

With essential competencies in Information Communication Technology, I have extensive experience of steering creative teams, multimedia divisions and digital communication departments in conceptualizing communication and marketing campaigns (aligned to the ever-growing of digital space) that effectively reinforce and build brand images while engaging target audiences at local and global levels.

Complemented by a substantial journalism experience, I possess superb media relations skills, a comprehensive understanding of the regional media landscape and enjoy strong personal relationship with the local media; writers, reporters and editors. I am a creative writer for print publications and blogs, script writer for film and documentaries, a video editor, graphics designer, web developer, social media strategy trainer and a charismatic and persuasive speaker.

In 2019, I received the Young PR Professional of the Year Award from the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK).
