William Douvris
Musician in Chicago, Illinois
William Douvris attended the Musical Industry Workshop in Chicago at the mere age of twelve, which provided him with the skills necessary to write and record his own music. Douvris displayed musical talent from a young age and continued to progress from there. William even recorded in the same exact studio rooms as Kanye West and Prince. However, he started off from his basement, where he created his own studio. William used this studio to do the mixing of his own voice with the layers of drum, guitar, and base. Later, Douvris also played in a Metallica cover band and he often suggests that most bands should start as cover bands. This not only helped him further his music and passion for instruments but also became the base for his eventual release of eleven songs on iTunes. Currently, Douvris is pursuing real estate ventures. Aside from work, William Douvris is an active philanthropic community member of Chicago. Growing up, the concept of giving back to the community was instilled in Douvris. William Douvris credits this upbringing to the success he had later in life. The Greek concept of “PH” or “Filotimo” means that you are born into a culture of giving back to the community, and it is instilled into each child from a very young age. While music and philanthropy run in his blood, William also grew up witnessing entrepreneurship in his family. Douvris's family successfully ran and handled their own restaurant. William embodies the spirit and hopes to carry it with him. To keep up with William Douvris' philanthropy and music, follow him at WilliamDouvris.com!
