William Emslie
Student, Cashier, and Book keeper in Markham, Ontario, Canada
I am currently enrolled as 3rd student in Seneca College's Business Administration - Marketing program, I will be graduating in April 2016.
The Business Administration marketing program at Seneca has helped foster a love of entrepreneurship, channel management and prospect pitching. All well learning about the different elements that make up the large and very encompassing field of marketing.
During my time at Seneca I have competed in Ontario College's Marketing Competition (generally called OCMC) twice. During these events I earned a 3rd place finish in Entrepreneurship case and a 5th place finish in Marketing strategies case. OCMC was a fantastic experience that didn't just supplement my education but allow for myself to connect to other marketing students in Ontario.
I also took part in the national level case competition the Business Development Bank of Canada case challenge (BDC), were I was pitted against teams from across Canada. Well at the the BDC I placed 4th with my team. BDC was a humbling experience as it showed the level of talent that my peers posses, I just feel grateful that I was able to perform so well.
When it comes to activities outside of school I am a life long fisherman, currently I mainly fish in the Georgian bay but recently I've been doing more deep sea fishing expeditions. I'm also a major fan of football, I played football for most adolescence . When it comes to watching football I have always been a major fan of the Green Bay packers in the NFL & the Clemson Tigers in the NCAA.
I believe that I would be a great fit on any business or marketing team and look forward to working in the industry.
