William Taylor

Dallas, Texas

I have been working in the Semiconductor industry for the last five years and am looking to start working on my MBA in the fall. I am probably the biggest foodie you have ever met. I will travel ludicrous distances to find new things to eat and I tend to plan entire vacations in search of fantastic food. My wife and I participate in numerous cooking classes , I help run my parents catering business, my kitchen is filled with enough gadgets to host a food network show and one day my ultimate goal is to open my own bakery that has an engineering twist.

I am also very passionate about motivating minority and underprivileged youth in order to cultivate an interest in science, technology, engineering andmath (S.T.E.M.) majors and careers. This is most evident in my work with Dallas based program “Project Still I Rise”. The mission of PSIR is to empower today’s youth for tomorrow’s opportunities through academic, mentoring, and leadership development programming. I have hosted several Engineering Day events with PSIR and my employer Texas Instruments, where the students participate in exciting activities that help them discover firsthand how engineering and technology relates to the world around them.
