William Kenny

New York City and Long Island

Born in Long Island and raised in both Connecticut and Long Island, I moved into NYC shortly after school. My first position of employment was with The NY Times, with focus and direction that was often later guided by "word of mouth" recommendation where I worked along side Warner LeRoy, former owner of Tavern On the Green, Maxwell Plum and The Russian Tea Room and assisted on two major design renovations. With Warner, I simultaneously assisted Farah Fawcett as she filmed on location in New York. I worked at The Commonwealth Fund and planned and hosted events for former First Lady Roslyn Carter to help sustain continued financing for "Habitat for Humanity". With Stephen Swartzman and Pete Peterson, leaders of the famed financial mega fund, The Blackstone Group, I was their Assistant Office Manager and Personal Assistant. At Estee Lauder's "Donna Karen" Brand, I was an assistant on their Cashmere Mist campaign. I also went on to work for Jerome Swartz, inventor of the Bar Code and Scan Gun, and eventually lived in his Old Field estate by invitation, as Estate Manager/Publicist and Event Planner. I was contracted to help out John F. Kennedy, Jr. at George Magazine in the Hachette Filipacchi Building as one of his assistants. In Palm Beach, I was Boutique Manager on Worth Avenue to Lana Marks, former friend of Princess Diana and helped expand her pocket book and accessory empire to include a spot on Rodeo Drive and obtain clients such as Barbara Streisand. I worked directly with Michael Carpenter, former CEO of Citi Group Global at his then newly created Hedge Fund, Southgate Alternative Investments on Fifth Avenue and later at The New York City Department of Environmental Protection, being involved with environmental auditing and engineering of New York City's waterway system, Second Avenue Subway and many other projects.

As I volunteer and member within many of East Patchogues/Bellports organizations, my focus here outside work in NYC is to eventually unite the area's residents, business men, political leaders, leaders of Art, Film, Theatre and Conservancy, under one web and social umbrella where a unique melding of shared information would only enhance the continued growth and charm of the community and to continue to share his unique talent and specialized skills with local residents and organizations
