An experienced and successful businessman who has worked in a numberof fields during his career, William Lao currently owns and manages theEnrico Hotel, a traditional bed and breakfast he has owned since 2003. Ideallylocated in the heart of London, the hotel offers guests a place to stay thatkeeps many of London’s key attractions nearby, such as Buckingham Palace andthe Houses of Parliament. The hotel has different room options available, fromsingle to family, and included in the price is breakfast served in the hotel’swelcoming restaurant.

Previously, William Lao ran a franchise for 5 years, and heremains interested in franchising. Early in his career, he gained experience asan international currency dealer. He also has experience in the mutualinsurance industry. He prepared for his career academically by earning aBachelor of Science in Commerce from the University of Saint Louis in Baguio;he majored in Marketing. He also studied Business Management at the Universityof Westminster in London.

Cooking is one of his passions. He originally gained experience in thecatering industry at the Four Seasons Hotel in London, and he remains acompetent cook, able to make Oriental, Italian and English cuisine.

Another of his pastimes is world travel, and he has explored locationsacross Asia, Indo-China, Europe and Australia. He has also travelledextensively across America, visiting locations on the East Coast, in the South,in the Midwest and on the West Coast. When travelling, he makes an effort tolearn as much as possible about the local culture, customs and language.

He likes to relax by watching his favourite teams – his local footballteam, Chelsea Football Club – and the LA Lakers American basketball team. WilliamLao is married and has five children.

His favourite books are Think Like a Tycoon by W.G. Hill and NeverGive Up by Donald Trump.
