There are many different aspects of the picture to the left which symbolize my life. I could list connections to items such as my watch or maybe the Georgia logo present upon my chest, but I really wanted to focus on the bigger picture which is the cross behind me. In the Bible, Matthew 16:24 states, "Therefore Jesus told his disciples, 'If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.'" This verse really brings resonance to my life in the fact that my entire life has been centered around the church and my connection to God. Being that my dad is a minister and my mom's dad is a pastor, having church and God in my life was never an option. It was something that has been and always will be apart of my life. Even though I was going to church before I was even out of the womb, my Christian walk had not begun untiI I gave my life to Christ in June of 2008. Since then, I have done missions work inside and outside of the United States. From places like Nashville, Tennessee or Charleston, South Carolina to small villages in Nicaragua, the Lord has found a way for me to share his love to more people than I can could have ever imagined.
