I'm one year into my PhD in Art History at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I research the art of late North Atlantic modernism. Some of my favorite artists include: Konrad Klapheck, Simon Hantaï, Yves Klein, Morris Louis, Thomas Struth, Henri Matisse, and Francis Bacon.
I'm also an active translator of contemporary German literature. Current projects include Patrick Süßkind's Der Kontrabass and Judith Hermann's Nichts als Gespenster.
