Bio

I once believed that Music could act as the rationale for just entertainment. However, in time and experience, I realized that there is more to Music than just being entertained. Music reaches my soul, and takes me to a far higher consciousness than just entertainment.
15 years ago I got a call from my Kentucky friend, asking me to check out Jennifer Lopez’s video featuring Jarule, entitled “I’m Real”, because it was produced by him. 7 Aurelius was the newest big producer for Irv Gotti. Irv Gotti and Murder Inc. was the hottest record label at the time, so I thought that I finally had my big break. I eventually completed and sent Seven my solo rap project. “Seven” got a break and eventually heard my project, and he was literally “blown away”. He personally took it to Def Jam and let Kevin Liles hear it. Kevin loved it, but made a request that since 7 was such a hot producer, that he should produce one song with me for the album, and the deal was mine. 7 asked me to be his road manager until we get to Los Angeles, and we would do my song and validate my project. This sounded great to me, because the first place we were going was Minneapolis Minnesota, to Flyte Tyme to work on Janet Jacksons upcoming Album. Wow, I actually will get a chance to meet music icons Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, and Janet! The trip was more than I could have ever dreamed of, not only did I get to meet and talk to Janet, but I was invited to Jimmy’s house for his daughters birthday. Seven eventually got a label deal with Def Jam, seemingly forgetting all about his promise to produce a song for “my deal”, and asked me to be his A&R. After a 5 year stay in Los Angeles, Seven decided to shut down his label and work on his “solo” project, and I was devastated. I went from being road manager and A&R to packing my bags and heading to Atlanta Georgia where I started an extremely successful Artist management firm. I’m defying the odds at the age of 48, as I’ve decided to re-enroll in college, to obtain a bachelors in The Entertainment Business. I figure with all my experience, a degree will increase “my worth” in the business. I presently have a 3.5 cumulative GPA, with a graduation date approaching in June of 2014. I “know’ I am extremely valuable, and all I need is an opportunity to prove it…. But this time I’m not “depending” on anyone besides someone I know won’t let me down…myself. This time I'm "Doing it My Way".
