Donald Williams

I discovered America on September 15, 1948 in Valdosta, Georgia.My parents were John Wesley and Reatha Williams. Both my parents were college trained and they instilled in me at a very young age the desire to reach for the moon because even if I miss I'd land among the stars.I have BIG dreams.

I graduated from Pinevale High School in 1966, Fort Valley State University in 1977 and the University of Georgia in 1984.Served a four year tour in the U. S. Navy from 1968-1972.

I worked as a school social worker for Valdosta City Schools(VCS) for 26 years and have moved on to become an Executive Trainer with 5Linx Enterprises, a sales representative for WHLJ-FOXY 97.5 FM, established Williams Home Decor and Soaring Eagle Enterprises since retiring from VCS in May 2011 to the present.

I'm married to Barbara Williams, a member of the Woodlawn-Forrest Church of Christ,member of 100 Black Men of Valdosta, Inc.,Lowndes/Valdosta Chapter of the Fort Valley State University Alumni Association, Southside Library Boosters, and the Hahira/ Lowndes County Community Development Corporation.
