Greetings! I am Shaterra Williams, a senior at North Carolina Central University majoring in Early Childhood Education. I was born and raised in Norfolk, Virginia. From Norfolk I moved to a small town called Edenton in North Carolina where I attended and graduated high school. Attending NCCU is apart of my destiny, I am destined to be here! I have been blessed to achieve many great things and grow tremendously in several traits.
My most current personal goal is to grow. Grow and be better in every way possible... spiritually, academically, mentally, physically, etc. I am one who feels that there is always room for improvement and betterment. To me, life is all about growth. As far as my professional career goals, I first want to teach kindergarten. Being a kindergarten teacher is not something I want to do my entire life. My ultimate goal is to own a daycare. With my deep passion for children a personal aspiration for me has always been to own a successful daycare later on in my years One of my favorite hobbies is to volunteer; there is no specific type of volunteering I like to do. I just genuinely enjoy being a helping hand whenever I can be an asset.
Something that inspires me is a scripture from the Holy Bible, 1 Corinthians 2:9 “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him”. This quote keeps me inspired because it confirms the promises and plans that God has for me.
