William Zelaya

As a Director of Investors Trust Assurance, SPC, William Zelaya helps promote a philosophy of investment that allows individuals and families to plan for greater financial freedom, retirement, education, and safety in the face of the unexpected. As members of a successful company that does business around the world, William Zelaya and the team at Investors Trust take measures to assist people around the world in times of disaster. In 2011, for example, the company responded to the natural disaster caused by an earthquake and tsunami in Northeastern Japan. Acting to give back to a region with which they have numerous business relationships, William Zelaya and ITA International Holdings LLC, (“ITA”), the parent company of Investors Trust, gave 2,000,000 Japanese yen to World Vision, an organization that provided emergency supplies like hygiene products, bottled water, and blankets to those affected by the disaster. Contributions such as this are an extension of the company’s desire to aid individuals in fortifying themselves against financial distress, and this was not its first generous donation to disaster relief efforts. In February of 2010, the company donated 390,000 Haitian gourdes to help the organization Partners In Health best utilize the abilities of 120 doctors and 500 nurses working in affected areas around the island of Haiti. William Zelaya commented that Investors Trust chose to donate to Partners In Health because the organization had an ideology that resonated with its own. William Zelaya added that, like Investors Trust, the organization works based on principles of training, advocacy, research, and service. Previously, Investors Trust also contributed to disaster relief efforts in Taiwan and in 2010 became one of the main sponsors of the Tennis Tournament Summer Cup in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
