Known for her infectious smile, and whimsical personality, Wilsar is an exuberant and ambitious Sierra Leonean-American graduate from Georgian Court University, where she had the honor of obtaining a degree in Sociology, and a background in Biological Science.
After gaining her degree, she ventured out of the great state of New Jersey, to begin her career in marrying Digital Communications in the public policy, and politics arena. Her first stop was at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) where she had the opportunity to attain valuable knowledge about America's political process, and the Democratic Party.
Promptly after, she had the wonderful opportunity to serve as a Running Start Star Fellow at the U.S. House of Representatives. During her fellowship, she worked in the office of Congresswoman Karen Bass. Her duties there varied, including responding to constituents' concerns, assisting staff with the promotion of bills, contributing to the communications team, and more.
In what seemed like a blink of an eye, Wilsar served in the Office of Congressman Rush Holt (D- NJ12), where she worked as a Staff Assistant, Legislative Correspondent and Press Assistant.
After her tenure in Mr. Holt's office, she served in the office of Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D- NJ12) as the first Digital Director, a role which she cultivated for herself.
Currently, Wilsar is serving as the first Digital Director in the House Judiciary Committee. Additionally, she's one of the Founding Members of the first ever Democratic Digital Communications Staff Association.
