Wilson Tang is one of the founders of Exploding Barrel Games where his duties includes Art Direction, Creative Development, Branding, Marketing, User Experience and Talent Development. Between 2006 and 2010, Wilson was the Senior Art Director/Franchise Creative Director at Electronic Arts/Blackbox where he oversaw the art direction and marketing of one of EA's biggest franchises, as well as the creative development of several original IP's. Prior to EA, Wilson worked at George Lucas's Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) for 7 years as Visual Effects Art Director. Projects at ILM include Spielberg's "A.I.:Artificial Intelligence", Ang Lee's "The Hulk". His work on "The Hulk" was nominated for Best Visual Effects by the Visual Effects Society in 2003. During preproduction of "A.I" in 2001, Wilson pioneered the use of real-time game engines for use in previsualization of virtual environments in film. The technique was used by Steven Spielberg and Wilson was granted a USA patent for the process. Wilson was one of the original founders of The Embassy VFX in vancouver, where he co-directed and acted as production designer for 2 commercials for Toyota Scion. Before ILM, Wilson worked in Tokyo on a 3D anime feature called "TekkonKincreet", acting as both Production Designer and 3D Supervisor under legendary anime director Morimoto Koji. (Akira, Memories, Animatrix) In 1998 Wilson consulted with NIKE Inc. on the design of an integrated product/service web portal that eventually became NIKE+. Wilson has been on the board of advisers for the Intercross Creative Center (icc-jp.com) in Japan since its inauguration in 2001.
