Winnie Miller

Hi! I’m Winifred (Winnie for short). My name is as unique as I am. Hatched in Virginia on Easter morning, I grew up just miles from our nation’s capital. I migrated west to Madison, WI to pursue my undergraduate degree. Two things I still hold dear to my heart: the Madison Farmer’s Market and my Girl Scout troop at the Bayview International Center. While attending Wisconsin, I fulfilled my dream of studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain. The full immersion program was an incredible growth experience, as my host family did not speak any English and my classes were taught in Spanish. Seven months, twelve countries and a few hundred tapas later, I returned home nearly fluent in Spanish, with a passion for Hispanic culture that fuels my career goals. Today I live in Minneapolis, MN and work for Target Corporation. I have learned to brave frigid winters, adore tater tot “hot dish” and savor the city's phenomenal "food scene".

A few fun facts about me!
• I had a cat named Lettuce when I was five years old. I named her after my favorite food at the time. I, too, question my food preferences as a five-year-old.
• I threw-up in the White House when I was one year old.
• When I was 13, I juggled a soccer ball 1,036 times in a row.
• In the last year I have been to Iceland, South Korea and Japan. Travel is my biggest passion.
