His father, an Armenian tour guide, and his American mother, a schoolteacher, gave him a rich blend of traditions and perspectives. The historic stone architecture and mountain vistas of his hometown, along with the warmth of its close-knit community, left an enduring mark on his character.
A lifelong linguist, Dr. Haven speaks Western Armenian and maintains working knowledge of English, Spanish, French, and Turkish.

Resilience & Perspective

Early loss profoundly shaped Dr. Haven's approach to life and medicine. He lost his father in a car accident at age thirteen, followed by his mother to a heart condition several years later. These experiences deepened his understanding of grief, resilience, and the preciousness of time with loved ones—values he carries into every patient relationship.

Family & Life Today

Dr. Haven was married to his wife, Sarah, for 29 years until her passing six years ago. Together they raised their son, Gabriel, who now resides in Canada with his wife and is building a new chapter in his life.
His greatest joy today comes from his two grandchildren: a spirited seven-year-old grandson who shares his love of building and creating, and a charming four-year-old granddaughter who keeps him on his toes.
