Born in London, Winton studied at UCL (London) and Dalhousie University (Halifax, Canada) where he obtained graduate degrees in Geology and Earth Science before pioneering the development of Ecotourism in Eastern Canada. His company, Into The Wilderness... Expeditions, harnessed the expertise of Geologists, Biologists, Botanists, Ecologists and Historians to develop educational travel experiences highlighting the relationships between earth history, geology, climate, ecology, natural resources and human history through time. Now living in the UK, Winton trains individuals and groups in the art of public speaking and presentation, builds bespoke furniture and restores classic cars and motorcycles.
