Wear It Share It
WiShi is an online styling site, on which users can post items from their own closets and ask other users to put together outfit ideas for events. WiShi user (Joelle Fogelman) explains why she loves WiShi and how it's been useful to her, saying, "For me personally, WiShi is somewhere I can see all my clothes, bags, shoes and jewelry at the same time without having to turn my bedroom upside down. The beauty of the site is that you can see how other people would put your things together and you can change the bits you don't agree with."
To upload items, users download the WiShi app from the iTunes store, take photos of clothes from their real closets, and upload from there. Alternatively, they can save the photo to their computers and upload them from the site as well. Both options take only seconds, and make it easy to build up your virtual closet. Users can add photos of themselves to their WiShi profiles, so that stylists can look at them and create more personalized outfits.
The idea behind WiShi is to elimnate that feeling of having a closet full of clothes but nothing to wear. Joelle says, "Having 'nothing to wear' is a syndrome that affects me almost on a daily basis... So much so that I'll plan outfits for important events weeks in advance. I know I am certainly not the only woman out there who has this headache. WiShi believes that nobody should have 'nothing to wear' days. On their site, you can tell the stylish online community exactly what you're going to; what time of year it will be; and how you want to look." Additionally, other users can use the "Brands" tab in the styling room to suggest items from popular stores that go with your pre-existing closet. The result is a collage-type image of an outfit, styled directly from your closet with your sense of style in mind. Joelle has found it to be an excellent source of fashion tips, adding, "If you ever feel like you wish you had a personal stylist, WiShi is the answer to your prayers. We can finally make some sense of our closets!"
