WILLIAM DANA

Bill Dana is a Certified Public Accountant (NYS licensed). He has extensive experience in the area of forensic auditing and investigative audits. In his early career in accounting, he was employed by 3 of the "Big Four" public accounting firms: Price Waterhouse Coopers, Deloitte & Touche, and Ernst & Young as an auditor and later as a manager specializing in tax matters. Prior to entering practice on his own account, he was the Treasurer of a public company, and Plant Manager of Budget and Cost Accounting for the Industrial Products Division of the Singer Companies. Bill Dana has a Bachelors degree in Public Accounting and a Masters degree in Taxation, both from Baruch College, City University of New York. He passed all four parts of the exam for licensure as a Certified Public Accountant on his first sitting for the exam, a rare accomplishment. In the field of education, he has served as an instructor in accounting and taxation at the university and community college level. Further, he authored a book on the Federal Income Taxation of Closely Held Multiple Corporations and has written articles on taxation which have been published in local media. Bill Dana has served his local community as Charter President of a Chamber of Commerce, Treasurer of civic and non-profit groups, as a scout leader for the Boy Scouts of America, and in the military as a Major in the New York Guard.
