Mack O'Barr
I am a cultural anthropologist who teaches at Duke. In my (now long) career, I've researched and written about cultural issues in many parts of the world, including East Africa, Japan, India, Brazil, China, Italy. I'm now devoting a lot of time to working on some of the more perplexing aspect of American culture: advertising and society, the delivery (or not) of justice in the American legal system, big-time money managers, what we learn about other cultural through movies and TV, and so on. My latest project (and book nearing completion) is an investigation of circumcision in American life.
