El Movimiento Mujeres Poetas Internacional MPIfue fundado en el 2009 en la República Dominicana por la escritora Jael Uribe, con el objetivo de promover la labor poética de las mujeres que forman parte de este movimiento y que buscan darse a conocer a través de la participación en proyectos conjuntos que les permitan desarrollarse en las letras. Buscamos realzar la labor de la mujer en la poesía y reclamar el lugar que nos corresponde dentro de la literatura. El MPI nace como una sociedad familiar, en donde la unión de todos como hermanos se hace necesaria en pos de un mayor fin y cumplimiento de una hermosa misión social. Somos los creadores del Festival Internacional de Poesía y Arte Grito de Mujer que cuenta con colaboradores en todo el mundo y se realiza todo el mes de Marzo de cada año alusivo al tema de la mujer y su rol dentro de la sociedad, al mismo tiempo que se lleva un mensaje socialde NO violencia contra esta por una cultura de paz y mensajes de autoestima.

The Movimiento Mujeres Poetas Internacional MPI, inc. (Women Poets International Movement) begun on November of 2009. It was started on the Dominican Republic by Jael Uribe, poetess and writer, which aimed to promote the work of unknown talented women poets seeking to get noticed internationally, by sharing their writing on webpages and social networks. With time and hard work, we have transcended virtual borders through our well-known Woman Scream International Poetry and Arts Festival celebrated each month of March in honor of women.
MPI is a nonprofit foundation committed to the work of promoting contemporary female poetry through all possible means, which makes them part if our social mission of sharing messages of respect, self-esteem and nonviolence against women for a culture of peace. In addition, we support women by sharing their work internationally creating collective projects to get them involved in the cause. Our members are mostly Spanish speaking women, but other countries support as well.
