Wonders of Math

I am a BC certified math teacher with a degree in Mathematics and Education. I have been teaching in a classroom setting for over a decade and I have taught children, adolescents and adult students for over 20 years. In the past, I was a Senior Math teacher at York House School in Vancouver and Math Department Head and Coordinator at a BC off shore school in China. I am extremely passionate about teaching mathematics and I am so excited to unravel the wonders of mathematics to everyone!

I love my work because of the “aha!” moments in problem solving and the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students with different abilities in mathematics. I have not only taught at the highest ranked school in BC (according to the Fraser Institute School Rankings), but I also taught at one of the lowest ranked school in Vancouver. This invaluable experience provided me with a skill set to be able to teach effectively students from different background and learning abilities.

My goal is to help students gain a better insight in the importance of mathematics in their daily life in a fun and stress-free environment, while ensuring a much stronger understanding and interest in math. You would be confident that I am a teacher with a solid knowledge in the BC Math curriculum, assessment, technology and best practices in the teaching of Mathematics.
