I am currently a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Previously, I attended Princeton and the Pearson United World College of the Pacific. Originally, I'm from Toronto, Canada.

I co-founded The Prison Electives Project, a program that delivers humanities courses in New Jersey and Ontario’s correctional facilities.

My writing has appeared in several venues, including The New York Times, USA Today, and others. Previously, I was a 2016 University Fellow at Atlantic Media.

Academically, I predominantly spend my time thinking about applied ethics, philosophical pedagogy, and the nascent field of effective altruism. I’m interested in how the academy can illuminate the real world.
