I’m a recent graduate of Princeton University, an alumnus of the Pearson United World College of the Pacific, and a native of Toronto, Canada. This fall, I’ll begin a degree in Public Policy as a Schwarzman Scholar at Tsinghua University.

I co-founded The Prison Electives Project, a program that’s delivered humanities courses in New Jersey and Ontario’s correctional facilities.

My writing has appeared in several venues, including The New York Times, USA Today, and others. I was a 2016 University Fellow at Atlantic Media, the publisher of The Atlantic, Quartz, and the National Journal.

Academically, I predominantly spend my time thinking about applied ethics, philosophical pedagogy, and the nascent field of effective altruism. I’m interested in how the academy can illuminate the real world.
