Orignally from the city of Petaling Jaya in Malaysia, Mervyn moved to the United States in 2007 to further his education. Hoping to experience American culture, he joined Starbucks Coffee Company as a Barista in April of 2007 and has since been promoted to a Shift Supervisor in the company.
