Hello! I'm Won Young, and if you clicked through this far, I guess you want to learn more about me...

Haha well, I'll start by saying I am currently in 12th grade at Troy High School, and I work as part of the Chick-fil-A Somerset marketing team to promote the brand! (Eat mor chikin!)

I am passionate about many things but I must keep this bio somewhat concise... One, I love marching band. As the Drum Major of the Troy Colt Marching Band, I am able to lead an exceptional group of kids. It is a second family- I get to live the experience along side my best friends. The four short years in the marching band has shaped who I am and taught me discipline, leadership, and responsibility. I am looking forward to continuing my marching band experience in college or a drum corps setting. Another is cars- I know if you aren't a car person, you don't really understand or care about it, so moving swiftly on... The final one is something I hold dear in my heart because it affects more than just me. I am passionate about educating kids in third world countries because they are the ones who hold their countries' future in their hands; an educated youth creates hope and works to break the cycle of poverty present in those countries. What really influenced me is Club buildOn at my school that provided me with an experience of a lifetime that influenced my plans for the future.

My plans after high school are to study to become a mechanical engineer. I want to use the skill to improve the lives of the young people in less privileged countries by educating them. The inspiration for my goal is the wonderful experience I had building a school for a community in Haiti through an amazing organization called buildOn.
