Angela Wood

Angela co-owns Babbletype, a transcription services company HQ’d in Philadelphia supporting the pharmaceutical and market research organization. She manages Babbletype’s external operations, growth, and keeps the books balanced. She worked previously with her current partner John when COO/CFO of Xlibris, a self-publishing services company that fought through enormous odds to deliver customer value while retaining shareholder value, which eventually led to being purchased for both. Prior to that she held financial and HR management positions at the Weightman Group, a full-service marketing agency in Philadelphia. Her core strengths in customer service, memory and intuitive solutions, and overall big picture persistence are at the base of what formed and still drives her story further. Her contribution and mark within Babbletype is a natural extension of these competencies, allowing her to improve upon her connections with and knowledge of the marketing research space.

A devoted sponsor of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association, Angela is also active with the Marketing Research Association (MRA) and the Philadelphia Chapter of American Marketing Association (AMA). Previously President for the Marketing Research Association’s Philadelphia Chapter, she remains active on the Philadelphia Chapter’s Board.
