William Wordsworth

Lake Windemere, England

I was the second oldest of my five siblings. I grew up in Cockermouth, Cumberland. When I was 8 years of age mother sadly passed, and my father sent me to Hawkshead Grammar School, after that I was sent to a school for just the upper-class families. In 1787 I made my debut as a writer when my sonnet was published in the European Magazine, and that same year I came started attending the St Johns College in Cambridge. In 1790 I tooka walking tour of Europe visiting the alps and France. When I was in France I fell in love with this beautiful girl named Annete Vallon and she bore my first and only child, Caroline. Due to the tensions between Britain and France I had to return home leavin my dear girls back in France. I went to live with my sister Doroty, after the tensions had subsided Dorothy and I went to visit Annete and Caroline in Calais, I stayed with Dorothy for a while longer until her memory started to fade and she sadly passed. A good friend of mine Samuel Taylor Coleridge lived an the same lake as I did and we converged on many a night. The on the 23 April 1850 I passed away leaving all of my great work behind for generations to come.
