Me and MSF

I can say that I have commitment to MSF Principles, I know its work is based on humanitarian principles and operates independently. I am also conscious that the work of a communication officer in this organization must to be related with this philosophy.

The last 6 years I have been working as a communication officer in development NGO, I want to continue my career in this field. During these years I researched and learned about empowerment in developing countries. I developed an ability to adapt language style to suit a wide range of audiences and have been working in developing an ethic code for the communication of development/humanitarian NGO in Catalonia. I also have been working in producing an information campaign about crisis and famine in the Africa Corn for Canalsolidario.org.

I have been working on the field as well, on several workcamps in Ireland and Spain, producing written communication materials for internal and external use, and I really like to work on field. Moreover, I have practiced team work and cooperation in order to get a good job.

In a personal level, I love to travel, to discover and interact with new cultures in order to increase cross- cultural awareness. I am especially interested in social networks, communication for development, and humanitarian Aid, in fact I'm studying a masters in International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid.

I am strongly motivated for working in MSF because I believe it is a unique place for working to challenge inadequacies or abuse of the aid system, and to advocate for improved medical treatments and protocol. It is an important organization with ambitious objectives and I would like to be part of its team in order to achieve those objectives. I think that I can achieve the goals required in the post vacancy and it will make me learn and improve in my professional career. I am available for starting the work immediately, for flexible timetable and for travelling if it is required.
