World Governing Body for the sport of English Billiards; a subsidiary of WPBSA.

World Billiards (Limited) is as a subsidiary of the World Professional Billiards & Snooker Association (WPBSA). It includes former members of the English-Billiards Open Series (EBOS) and WPBSA, and is the governing body for English Billiards.

EBOS was originally formed in 2005 by Phillip Welham, Roxton Chapman, Phil Mumford, Peter Ainsworth, Paul Dunning, Jim Leacy and the late Andrew Grice to provide an open circuit for players of all abilities and nationalities to play against one another in meaningful competition.

EBOS became World Billiards Ltd in November 2011.

Also part of EBOS and WBL at various times have been Martin Goodwill, Gary Norman, Rob Hall, Geet Sethi, Devendra Joshi, Alan Chamberlain and Jim Burke.

The personnel and organisation has changed over time but the mission statement remains the same:
'To foster the development and participation in the game of English Billiards by way of open entry providing a platform for all players'.

We have a reputation for running well organised tournaments, rewarding excellence and encouraging all players to improve and enjoy the game of English Billiards.

The circuit has grown from four tournaments in 2005/6 to nineteen in the current 2016/17 season.
