Largo, MD
I was Born and raised in Washington DC and attended public schools and raised by my mother Annie Smith who was a domestic worker cleaning white folks houses and taking care of their children until she became ill and die in 1990. As a young boy growing up in DC we didn't have the nice things that manyn of my friends had but we managed with what my mom along with my grandfather and mother would contribute to help my mom with. After graduating from Cardozo High School I was fortunate to go to college and become a starter at California State University varsity football team and complete my under graduate education.
Returning home to DC i went to work for the DC Reacreation and Parks and work in serveral wards developing youth programs and coaching boys basketball, baseball and football during my eight years with the department.
In 1982 I was let go from the department because of a reduction in force which turned out be a blessing for me. Afterwards I was given an opportunity to apply for a job with the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division and was selected. On March 8, 1982 I was sworn in to the Secret Service and was very fortunate to have served my countryt and protect US Presidents, Vice Presidents, Heads of States and Foreign Dignataries from many countries around the globe. I retired from the United States Secret Service on March 28, 1998.
