William Poole

Hi, I'm William. I graduated Brown University in 2013 with a degree in biological physics with a computation bent. Currently I am taking some time to travel before entering a PhD program in computational or systems biology and am looking for contract work to support myself over the next year. I have extensive data analysis and programming experience including working with big data. Skill highlights include parallelized scripting with python, computational statstical methods such as clustering algorithms, and automated data visualization. Academically, I am interested in utilizing mathematics and computer science to make sense of large complicated systems such as those found in biology. Socially I like to think about how to instigate systemic change and am passionate about the environment, education, and medicine.
