Weston Renoud
Student, Software Engineer, and Web Developer in Bellingham, Washington
I am a traveler, a singer, a poet, and a scientist. I drink scotch, smoke a tobacco pipe, and fold origami. I love to hike, bike, and swim in really cold water. I grew up in Bellingham, Washington which is between the mountains and the sound, and between Seattle and Vancouver, BC.
Before returning to school in 2012, I was the Acting Chief Hydrographic Survey Technician for most of the 2011 season aboard the NOAA Ship Fairweather (pictured in the background in Icy Bay, AK). The Fairweather is a 231 ft (70.4 m) U.S. government hydrographic research vessel whose primary mission is to update nautical charts in the coastal waters of Alaska.
