I was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to Chicago in 1989. I am one of four siblings and one of three surviving siblings. Why did I move? The economy in Detroit was tanking and life just wasn't going my way.
Since that time I have been in higher education, either teaching or working as a staff employee.
