I'm so thankful to be able to serve the body of Christ at Westwood as a deacon.

We've lived in Hurdle Mills since 1989 and attended Westwood since 2008. I was raised in Hillsborough NC by Christian parents and accepted Christ as my Savior at an early age but didn't fully commit to Him until later in life. I married my high school sweetheart, Sherry Sykes, in 1982. We had four sons - Daniel, David, Stephen and Seth (our fourth son, Seth, was stillborn). We have two beautiful daughters-in-law, Jennifer and Claudia, and two precious grandchildren, Seth and Addison.

I've been with Duke Energy for 17 years. I enjoy spending time with my wife, my family, and my pets: Zelda (our German Shepherd), Jack (our donkey), Billy (our goat) and the newest additions to our mini-farm - chickens!

God has been so faithful to my family, even when we haven't been faithful to Him! He's still working on me, but I've grown so much in my walk with Christ since I've been at Westwood under the sound Biblical teaching of our pastoral staff and through relationships I've established with my dear brothers in Christ.
