Justino Águila is an award-winning journalist specializing in profiles and feature news stories. He has spent the past 10 years documenting Latino arts, entertainment and culture. He is currently an associate editor/writer at Billboard Magazine. His work has appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle, Seattle Times, Orange County Register, Time Out New York, Hollywood Reporter and two television networks. He has been awarded an Associated Press prize for feature writing and an L.A. Press Club award for his work on a series examining the Los Angeles Unified School District’s highly paid administrators as student enrollment declined. He has been a featured speaker at industry workshops and universities, and is based in Los Angeles.
