You are looking at a rough draft of my first book's cover. A widower at age 64, I retired and began researching for the book. Four and a half years later, I am in the final editing and will soon publish this labor of love. I had been single for over twenty years. One year into the research I met and married my current wife. I am writing under a pseudonym and have done so to protect the identity of the many who have shared their true stories for what became a less-than-glowing account of the practice of Internet dating. As can be gleaned from my brief comments, my Internet dating experience ended in success but sadly, that is the exception rather than the rule.

I am now writing my second and third books, again using true-to-life stories involving people who may not want their names associated with the intimate details of their stories. Many experiences we have in life are hard to share. Spousal abuse, rape, and scam victimization are among the most seriously under-reported crimes. The real numbers are staggering and this new and wonderful tool called "the Internet" is making matters worse. Like any other good thing, it is subject to misuse.

Oh, yes, about me! I'm just a regular guy, honest to a fault and deeply ensconced in my faith. My favorite pass-time is music. I have an incredible voice and sing to retirement centers, care centers and veterans' homes all over the state in which I reside, performing about 300 shows a year, mostly on a volunteer basis. I write and dolt on my new grandchildren in my spare time. My late wife and I were childless, so the grandpa experience is a new one for me. Having grandchildren is awesome!
