Android lost over iPhone in application development

Google has made Android one of the favorite operating system both for smart phones and tablets. However, this giant name could loose the game of mobile application war between Apple’s iOS in January 2018 especially in terms of new and fresh applications.

According to study, in comparison with Apple, Android marketplace saw less number of mobile applications in January than last year. We can say only one Android application was developed for every three iPhone applications.

This fact may showcase the downfall of Android and losing steam in efforts to sweep over industry dominate Apple app store. Currently, Apple app store has approximately 550,000 applications compared to 400,000 in Google’s Android Market. Both brands rely heavily on mobile application development on their respective devices to lure more users. According to reports it is also said that lot of migration is seen from Android developers to Iphone app developers.

Android app development may offer extended profitability in game products. The low number Android application development has no effect on the sale of android smartphones and tablets. Dedicated Android developers still feel that Android has more to offer in long term as Google is working hard on solving rising issues and discrepancies. Apple iPhone application development may give short term benefits but Android still holds more potential in long term.
