Wayne Wheeles

Wayne Wheeles is founder of Release 2 Innovation (R2i) a cyber security threat intelligence firm founded in 2014 that utilizes a unique blend of people, process and technology to address client’s security requirements. Focused on threat intelligence and moving to the left of the “breach” is my call to arms.

Wayne has worked in the cyber security arena for over a decade and in the words of one client “was working with Big Data before there was Big Data”. He has lead several of the top teams in the industry building a formidable portfolio of capabilities. Seismic, Applied Signal and Novii Design are just a few of the firms that he has served as a contributor. He continues to spearhead several open source projects.

As an author, Wayne has written some of the top rated article in 2013 and 2014, focusing on several data breaches with an emphasis on remediation. He continues to author products for his clients focused on security related research.

Wayne served in the United States Army, is a disabled veteran and continues to serve our veteran community as a tenant of R2i.
