Rhonda Soto

Rhonda Soto is a multi-racial native of Harlem, NY, who knows how important and challenging it is to build awareness around issues of race, class, gender and equality. As a single parent on welfare, she moved to a culturally all-white Suburban area where she earned a bachelor’s degree from Mount Holyoke College in Psychology and Education.

Her lived experiences and her long-standing interest in social justice led her to become a national vocal advocate, trainer, and consultant around issues of race and class intersections. A warm and dynamic speaker, her 21 years of work experience in social change coupled with her life experiences brings a much-appreciated and unique perspective and deliverance to trainings, presentations, keynotes, community dialogues and media interviews. Rhonda recently spent 3 years working as the Race and Class Intersections program coordinator and facilitator for Class Action, a nationally known non-profit organization The Race and Class Intersections Program was a program she spearheaded to explore the ways that class and classism are experienced in communities of color.

Rhonda is the founder of Envisioning Unity, Inspiring Change a consulting firm that seeks to increase the understandings of power, privilege, and oppression. It is the product of a lifetime of work towards creating innovative ways to inspire unity and equality. Rhonda offers various workshops that explore the elements of classism, racism, cultural differences, race and class, power, privilege and oppression. The workshops she leads are uniquely designed to address issues by going deep into the root of the problem. Culturally diverse and knowledgeable, Rhonda and her facilitators specialize in developing creative and innovative workshops that have proven to be dynamic and successful. We pride ourselves in consistently providing our participants with a vibrant, safe learning environment.
