Toni Dockter
Born and raised in Southern California. Grew up listening to KRLA and KMET. I was an American girl raised on promises. I couldn’t help thinkin’ that there was more to life somewhere else. So I hightailed it to Northern California – the better half of the state – and promptly left my heart in the Bay Area. I always wanted to be the brown-eyed girl, surfer girl, or a long cool woman in a black dress. Instead, I’m a runaway of the establishment incorporated. I won’t cooperate cuz I’m the last of the American girls—with sparkling earrings, my hair slicked back, and Wayfarers on, baby! They told me I was gonna have to work for a living but all I wanna do is write. Unfortunately, I can’t be a happy idiot and struggle for the legal tender. So I’m working on a writing career, too. Luckily I can hear my dreams ringing clear as a bell. I’m aware of the time going by, but I plod on—as I don’t want to be an American idiot. The waiting is the hardest part. But I’ll keep pushin’ ‘til it’s understood and these badlands start treating us ALL good. Will we succeed? Yes, we will indeed! 98 and ¾% guaranteed. Oh, the places you’ll go! With some cool tunes along the way… I blog at fuchsiawoman.com/blog—American commentary with a kick and filosophy with a fuchsia flair. You won’t need a weather vane to know which way the wind blows.
