Gabriel Burrafato
Gabriel Burrafato was Born in Buenos Aires Argentina, of full blooded Sicilian descent. He has performed starring roles on Broadway, Las Vegas and National Tours across North America. He began his career as an apprentice at the prestigious Shaw Festival. He has studied voice at the Royal Conservatory of Music and has worked with internationally renowned composers A.R. Rahman (two time academy award winner for “Slum Dog Millionaire”) and Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, as well as many of the top musical directors of Broadway and the Music Recording industry. As seen on PBS, Gabriel is a founding member of the singing group "BELL'ARIA" (www.BellariaMusic.com). This group was assembled by the famed EMI/Manhattan Records, the same record label that introduced the world to the hugely successful adult franchise "Celtic Woman". Bell’Aria celebrates Italian American culture and music, paying homage to the likes of Dean Martin, Mario Lanza, and Louis Prima. Gabriel is also currently starring in the biggest Las Vegas production to hit the Vegas strip in 20 years called "VEGAS! THE SHOW" (www.VegastheShow.com). Gabriel has starred as Lancelot in the Broadway National Touring production of Camelot. He has also had the honor of originating the role of the elf archer Legolas in the world premier of The Lord of The Rings. This $27-million show is the world's most expensive and elaborate staged production ever made. Other favorite roles include Magaldi in the U.S. national tour of Evita (25th Anniversary Harold Prince Revival). Gabriel made his Broadway debut in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's Bombay Dreams, where he performed the role of Vikram. He has also performed the role of Lun Tha in the Stratford Festival's production of The King and I.
