I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, counsellor, relationship coach and writer at 'The Real Matilda' in Perth Western Australia. I specialise in working with anxiety, depression, grief and trauma.

The Real Matilda is a private boutique practice operating in Bayswater and Glendalough offering coaching, counselling and psychotherapy services empowering you to live the life you deserve.

I offer coaching for on a one to one basis to help you deal with relationship issues. I am a specialist in dealing with toxic narcissistic relationships and co – dependency issues.

I qualified as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist at Churchill Clinic in 2008.

I am an eclectic practitioner drawing on different methodologies that cater to my client.

I am also informed by relational, existential and strategic psychotherapies with Buddhist influences, namely mindfulness.

I am stepping out of retirement in this pandemic year to help where I can.

My personal journey informs much of my therapy as I have passed through the challenges of life and come out the other side.

I am a compassionate person with a wacky sense of humour. I have been known to swear and get down and dirty into my client’s problems. I am not the sort of therapist who listens with a blank slate.

I love blue bathrobes and dogs. My papillon dog often accompanies me in the therapy room unless you have an aversion to dogs. I would rescue all the abandoned dogs of the world if I could.
