I am a retired R.N. Most of my career was in the Texas Medical Center in Houston where I worked at many prestigious hospitals, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, The Methodist Hospital and many other hospitals and private practices. I also worked for 2 years in Saudi Arabia and a year in Bahrain. I wrote a book about my experiences in the Middle East- "Single in Saudi" and am currently working on a talk about women's rights in the Middle East to present to a sociology class at a nearby college. I am also a veteran, having served in the US Army during the Vietnam war. I spend my free time working with the local literacy program, preparing people for the GED exam and volunteer at the State Theatre and The Traverse City Film Festival. Traverse City, Michigan has been my home for the past 8+ years and I love the city and the beautiful area. I am now a certified civil mediator and love the process.
