Alysse Aallyn

Alysse Aallyn is a Connecticut poet and writer who has been interested in questions of good and evil ever since her childhood on a gated, bat‐haunted colonial estate during the Franco‐Algerian war. Her historical romance Devlyn , her psychological thrillers Woman Into Wolf, Depraved Heart and Find Courtney and her book of short stories Awake till the End have been critically well received but she says, “I’ve always wanted to write for young adults, because that’s the time in your life when everything is happening for you. I am especially interested in psychic phenomena, soul travel and soulmates, having been married for years to my own soulmate, high school sweetheart Thomas Scheffey.” Tom is also a writer – a legal investigative journalist – whose forays into law and crime have fueled many of Alysse’s stories. Alysse Aallyn’s latest novel Depraved Heart was a Connecticut Press Club 2011 Fiction Prizewinner and she will be honored at an awards banquet in May.
