I love to travel. To see new sights and take in novel experiences. In my opinion there is no greater way to discover one's self than through travel. However, I have never left the United States; in fact I really ever only travel to Portland, OR to visit my family. I still travel evrydy though. I travel books, movies, music, art, or whatever captures my imagination. When I watch movies I get so connected and attached to what is going on (which kind of sucks during horror movies) that I forget I am sitting in a dark room filed with people I probably would not like if I meet them in the outside world. When I look at a painting I place myself in the setting, abosbing the sounds and life. Books are similar to movies, but better. I can create a whole world around the characters with only the slightest suggestions from the author. Music, music is my favorite though. When I listen to music I am released from myself and become free. No matter if its anything from Jimi Hendrix's acid fueled psychedelic rock to Jack Johnson's beach lulabies, I am free from the stresses of evryday life. No matter how crazy things can be, I always make sure and find time to travel in some way.
