All of us have dreams yet not all of us have the determination to live and accomplish those dreams. Although not all of us were born in a well off life but each one of us were given a gift and it is up to us to enhance and discover that gift and use it in a way were most people can benefit from it.
I was born in a poor family, our table was our bed, our floor was the crust of the earth and when it rains it turns into mud. My own toys where made from those remaining unused pieces of wood which I then bore a hole to place a rubber wheels crafted from a thrown slippers. Then I'm satisfied that I have a toy which the children from our neighbour have these beautiful plastic toys that they can play with such as robots and little flashy cars.
My parents had taught me a lot of things most especially my father. I started to hold a soldering gun at the age of 5 and started to fix my remote controlled toys which was given as a gift. It was the time where electronics, vacuum tubes and computer processors were very popular, and NASA's moon landing was always shown in TVs. Then I started to think of becoming an Astronaut when I grow up. But then at a young age, I suffered from a mild polio which the doctors believe that I will be weak but my determination to be strong had kept me to grow stronger and realised that the only person who can give me the courage and strength to be accomplish my dreams is my own will and my family. And from then on I started to believe not only to the divine but also to the things that I believe I can do.
I am not much of a dreamer but I always love to create things that can help others or benefit others. I also love to keep on thinking and don't like to be stagnant on my work. I guess this is why I am in the software development.
It didn't come easy for me to become what I had become now. Although I really love computers but when I went to college, I was worried that my parents may not have enough money for me, so I started taking scholarships. But although that was the best known technical school at time which was sponsored by ITALY and the Meralco Foundation but it only offers three programs, Electrical, Electronics and Mechanical. So I have chosen Electronics. It is then where I have known about programming and I started to do Assembly language, a 20 lines of code which makes me smile just to have the Hello World.
